Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski will announce a new aid package for Ukraine during his visit to Kyiv, which began today, December 22. This was stated by the spokesman for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Paweł Wroński, PAP reports.
According to Wroński, the visit is significant, as Sikorski will be the first high-ranking official to arrive in Kyiv after the EU's historic decision to start accession talks with Ukraine.
Wroński also noted that during the visit, the Polish foreign minister plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba, and other senior officials.
"The minister will prepare and present an aid package for Ukraine, as well as the idea of cooperation and political support. Poland cannot be only a military hub, it must be an economic and political hub for Ukraine," Wroński said.
He did not specify what kind of assistance he was talking about.
