62% of Ukrainians trust President Volodymyr Zelensky, and 88% trust the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi. These are the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology from November 29 to December 9.
Sociologists conducted a similar survey in December 2022. According to last year's data, 84% of Ukrainians said they trusted Zelensky. Only 5% did not. In December 2023, 62% of respondents trusted the commander-in-chief, while the distrust rating increased to 18%.
The Armed Forces retain absolute trust in society - both in December 2022 and now 96% trust the Armed Forces.
The number of those who simultaneously trust both Zelensky and Zaluzhny is 59%.
The share of Ukrainians with polarized views is quite small: 14% trust Zaluzhnyi while distrusting Zelensky, and only 1% trust the president but distrust the chief of staff.
The share of those who trust the Verkhovna Rada among Ukrainians has decreased from 35% in December 2022 to 15%, while the share of those who do not trust it has increased from 34% to 61%. Trust in the government decreased from 52% to 26%, while distrust increased from 19% to 44%.
