President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on Ukrainian officials to work harder for the victory of Ukraine. He said he would now monitor the situation in the regions and communities more closely. The president made the announcement at a meeting of the Congress of Ukrainian Communities.
According to him, he plans to pay maximum attention to the situation on the ground in various regions and communities. The President emphasized that the life of the state and people is the life that must be protected from Russian aggression.
"And if someone in any position, whether in the civil service or in local government, believes that the war is somewhere else, and he can deal with another priority issue, this is a big mistake that needs to be corrected and which we will correct. I believe that we all need to be adults and understand what we are doing on the ground and that there are no separate communities," Zelensky said.
The President also noted that due to the issues of war and Ukraine's European integration, he had not paid much attention to the situation in the regions. However, he said that this would change now.
"Therefore, I will pay attention, but I ask you not to give me the opportunity to spend time on such activities. I still want everything to be done for our victory... I am asking you not to distract us from the war, this is a big request, not for everyone, but there are such people. The main task is the defense of our country. If someone doesn't know what is happening at the front and has forgotten who our neighbor is, I want to remind them that defense comes first, and people will not forget it. Therefore, defense is everyone's duty," he emphasized.
