Germany has confirmed that it will double its military aid to Ukraine in 2024. The amount of aid is 8 billion euros. This was announced by German State Minister for European Affairs Anna Luhrmann before a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
"The Federal Republic of Germany will double its military support for Ukraine next year from 4 billion to 8 billion," she said.
Luhrmann noted that this week is crucial for the EU and Ukraine in the context of the start of accession negotiations.
The minister emphasized Germany's clear position on Ukraine's European integration, noting that the 26 EU members are unanimous in their desire to start negotiations.
