Ukraine and Moldova will be recommended to start negotiations on EU accession, but with conditions

On November 8, the European Commission will publish a recommendation to start negotiations on Ukraine and Moldova's accession to the EU. This was reported by Politico, citing sources.

But with a "technical" reservation that the countries will still need to make more progress in reforms: from creating a strong independent judicial system to protecting minority rights and fighting corruption.

"These will not be small, but big warnings. This will not be the first time that Brussels has masked important political consequences under technical details," the French official said.

It is worth noting that today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement on EU membership.

"We are doing everything to reach a political decision on Ukraine's membership in the European Union this year," he said.

According to the President, our political generation is capable of ensuring this.

"And I am sure that we will not miss such a special moment," Zelensky assured.
