EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has announced that there is currently no possibility of renewing the grain deal. He made this statement at a press conference in New York.

Borrell said that Russia is demanding the lifting of some sanctions, but the resumption of the agreement does not depend on this, as the current EU restrictions "do not affect the export of food and fertilizers."

"So don't look for excuses and don't look for false arguments. There is no possibility of reaching an agreement (with Russia - Ed.) because I am sincerely convinced that they don't want it," Borrell said.
