Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergiy Koretskyi is to present a program for free travel on Kyiv's urban surface transport. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"I have instructed the Prime Minister to present a program for free travel on urban surface transport and to ensure a sufficient reserve of buses for Kyiv," Zelenskyy emphasized.
According to him, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Secretary of the NSDC, and the Minister of Internal Affairs have already presented options for backup transport schemes for the capital.
The Head of State noted that the issue of the required number of vehicles and the reorganization of traffic in certain areas of Kyiv is currently being worked out.
"It is important for the government to prepare concrete measures to support the uninterrupted and guaranteed accessible operation of urban surface transport in case of disruptions in the metro's operation or potential problems with the bridges across the Dnipro," Zelenskyy stated.
