On the night of September 13, Russia launched an air attack on Ukraine, launching 44 Shahed unmanned aerial vehicles. Of these, 32 were successfully shot down, according to the Air Force in its morning report.
The drones were mostly aimed at the southern districts of Odesa region and the region's port infrastructure. Fighter jets, anti-aircraft missile troops, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces were used to provide protection against possible attacks.
In total, several groups of drones were launched from three directions during the attack: from the Russian cities of Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk, as well as Cape Chauda in Crimea.
