Russian troops conducted an air attack on Ukrainian territory on the night of June 6, using two ballistic missiles and 18 Shahed attack drones.
According to the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, Ukrainian troops used air defense forces and means to defend the country, which resulted in the shooting down of almost all kamikaze drones.
Russian drones were launched from the territory of Russia, in particular from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Cape Chauda in the annexed Crimea. Iskander-M ballistic missiles were used against Dnipropetrovsk region from the area of Taganrog.
Mobile fire groups, anti-aircraft missile troops, fighter aircraft, and electronic warfare units of the Air Force took part in the anti-aircraft battle with the Russians.
As a result of this operation, 17 Russian attack drones were shot down, which were actively operating in Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
In addition, the Ukrainian Navy reported that two of the downed Shaheds belonged to military sailors.
