Moscow reports a drone attack (UPDATED)

A new drone attack has taken place in the Russian capital, Moscow media reported. According to Russian sources, one of the drones attacked the Expocenter on Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, near Moscow City. The partial destruction of an outer wall in one of the pavilions, about 30 square meters in area, is reported.


Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed that the drone was shot down and the wreckage fell on the territory of the Expocentre.


"Last night, during an attempt to fly over Moscow, air defense forces destroyed a drone. The wreckage of the UAV landed in the area of the Expocentre, causing no significant damage to the building. There were no preliminary injuries," Sobyanin emphasized.


In connection with the incident, Vnukovo Airport temporarily suspended flights.

In Moscow City, 2,000 people were evacuated due to a false report of a "UAV arrival," local Telegram channels report.
