In the center of Moscow, a monument to Georgy Zhukov has been inscribed with the abbreviation “GUR”, which stands for the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The inscription appeared on Monday evening, June 3. According to the publication, two nurses, Vera Nikolaeva, 55, and Anastasia Lysenkova, 28, tried to leave it on the monument.
Both women were detained immediately after writing “GUR” on the monument.
It is noted that they performed this action on the instructions of telephone scammers with whom they had been communicating during the week.
On Tuesday evening, June 4, both women were sent to a pre-trial detention center.
The video showing the incident was provided by anonymous sources signed as the Public Initiative "Youth for GUR".
