The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhii Naev, held a meeting with the Commander of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Tomasz Piotrowski. According to the information posted on the Facebook page of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 7, during the meeting, perspective areas of bilateral cooperation and the situation in the region due to Russian armed aggression against Ukraine were discussed.
During the discussion, Lieutenant General Naev drew attention to the importance of continuing the exchange of information and experience in the organization of combat work at control points, especially in according to possible challenges and threats associated with the deployment of Wagner PMC groups in Belarus.
The need for additional training of personnel in the operation and repair of Polish-made military equipment was also discussed. Lieutenant General Tomasz Piotrovsky supported this initiative, assuring his Ukrainian colleagues of constant and comprehensive assistance.
Nayev also emphasized the significant role of Poland in providing powerful support to Ukrainian defense capabilities and its undeniable contribution to the victory over the aggressor.
