Russian troops advanced in Bakhmut, - British intelligence

In recent days, Russian troops have gained a new impetus in the battle for Bakhmut, a field where their advance was greatly stalled at the end of March. Wagner's mercenaries and paratroopers seem to have established cooperation.

The British Ministry of Defense reported this on Twitter.

"Russia has made further progress and has now probably advanced into the center of the city and seized the western bank of the Bakhmutka River," the message reads.

According to British intelligence, Ukraine's key supply route #0506 to the west of the city is under serious threat. Russian regular forces, including airborne troops, are likely to have fortified the area, and Russia is once again using artillery more effectively in the sector.

"There is a real possibility that on the ground, Wagner and the commanders of the Russian Ministry of Defense have suspended their continuous hostility and improved cooperation," the British Ministry of Defense notes.

Earlier, British intelligence reported that the attack of Russian troops on the city of Bakhmut in Donbas has practically stopped. First of all, this is the result of the extreme exhaustion of the Russian troops.
