EU countries were unable to reach an agreement on a new package of sanctions against Russia. Negotiations were postponed until tomorrow, February 23.
The Guardian writes about it.
It is noted that they want to introduce the package of sanctions by the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine.
"There are several outstanding issues, including regarding rubber and reporting obligations on Russian assets in Europe," one of the sources said.
The next negotiations between representatives of the EU member states are scheduled for Thursday in the afternoon.
We will remind you that the European Union will extend the anti-Russian restrictions for another six months. According to journalist Rikard Jozvyak, Hungary has withdrawn the relevant requirements to exclude some persons from the sanctions list.
