Today, EU foreign ministers were unable to agree on the ninth package of sanctions against Russia. The project was sent for revision. This was stated by the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell.

"This meeting will be very long and difficult because we have Iran on the agenda, we have sanctions against Russia on the agenda, the ninth package, we are not there yet, we are not done yet," Borrell told reporters.

He added that the decision could be agreed by the end of the day, but there are a number of issues that should be approved.

"Maybe by the end of the day, but there are some issues that still need to be agreed... Maybe tomorrow, but I can't say it will be easy," the diplomat added.
