The EU will issue new sanctions against Belarus for its role in Russia's war against Ukraine. President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced this during a press conference on January 10.
"We will introduce new sanctions against Belarus in response to Belarus' role in Russia's war in Ukraine," von der Leyen said.
