Russia is conducting a process of preparation for the next missile attack on Ukraine - reconnaissance

Russia may launch a new massive attack on Ukraine earlier than January 9-10. On average, it takes about two weeks to prepare the shelling.

In an interview with RBC-Ukraine, the representative of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense, Vadym Skibitsky, told about this.

"You take the statistics - correctly. It is not difficult to calculate. Mass shelling began on October 10-11. Then it was weekly, then there was an interval of two weeks. Preparation is a complex process," he explained. this is the preparation of missiles, crews, planes that will carry out the attack, and other issues related to coordination. After all, drones are also used for conducting reconnaissance, combat carrier aircraft. And after striking, it is necessary to conduct preliminary reconnaissance again, to clarify what the results are etc. Therefore, a week or two is the average interval between the use of missile weapons. Statistics show this."

According to Skibitskyi, a new massive shelling may take place even earlier than January 9-10.

"It will depend on how many missiles they will use, how many they have ready for today. We can see that now the aviation is training, flying from one airfield to another, there is training of crews on the task of strikes for the past day. So the process of preparation for next shelling," he says.

In addition, as the intelligence representative added, much will depend on the weather.

"Right now, the weather is just normal for the use of more precise weapons. "Shahedy" now, as a rule, work in the dark, and missile weapons can be used throughout the day. And now the weather, at least in Kyiv, is appropriate," he says.

Skibitskyi is also sure that Russia has its own plans, which are influenced by even one and not two factors.

"There are complex factors. And the weather, and holidays, and the presence of missiles, and frost. Therefore, it is very difficult to say unequivocally that any one element prevails," he stated.
