As a result of the full-scale invasion, Russian troops injured 872 children in Ukraine and killed 450. This is reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.
"More than 1,322 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of December 30, 2022, the official number of child victims per day has not changed - 450. The number of injured has increased - 872," the message reads.
It is noted that these numbers are not final, as work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
It is reported that the most affected children were in Donetsk region - 428, Kharkiv region - 268, Kyiv region - 117, Mykolaiv region - 81, Zaporizhzhya region - 80, Kherson region - 77, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 65, Dnipropetrovsk region - 40.
In addition, it is reported that 3,126 educational institutions were damaged due to bombing and shelling by the Russian armed forces. 337 of them were completely destroyed.
