As of Saturday, the energy system of Ukraine, as before, experiences a significant shortage of electricity, consumption limits have been established for all regions, exceeding which leads to the application of emergency restrictions.

 "The most difficult situation is in Kyiv and the Kyiv region due to the consequences of the drone attack on December 19 and in the east and south - there, Russia launched new artillery strikes on the frontline areas, there is damage to energy infrastructure facilities," the system operator noted.

 "Ukrenergo" clarified that due to shelling and equipment damage, one of the power plants stopped producing. Certain restrictions in the electricity transmission system, caused by damage to main networks by Russian attacks, also continue to apply.

 As reported, the previous evening, DTEK announced the shutdown of one of its TPPs due to shelling and the death of one worker.
