MARS-II MLRS provided by Germany arrived in Ukraine

Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced the arrival of German MARS-II multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine.

He wrote about it in Twitter.

"The third brother in the Long Hand (long-range weapons. - Ed.) family has arrived in Ukraine - MARS-II multiple rocket launchers from Germany.

Thanks to Germany and personally to my colleague Minister of Defense Christina Lambrecht for these systems.

"Our artillerymen welcome the German partners!" - Reznikov wrote.

Last week it became known that German MLRS are preparing for shipment to Ukraine.

Recall that Ukraine would receive three multiple-launch rocket systems from Germany became known in June after the third meeting of the Contact Group on Ukrainian Defense (Ramstein format).

In recent weeks, Berlin has been repeatedly criticized for the slow supply of weapons to Ukraine, in particular because of the so-called circular exchange scheme. German officials themselves acknowledged problems with supplies.

The German government has previously published a list of weapons that are being prepared for transfer to Ukraine - it includes, among others, 30 Gepard self-propelled artillery systems, IRIS-T SLM air defense systems and M113 armored personnel carriers.
