The United States is working on supplying artillery systems to Ukraine. Some of them can be provided from their own stockpiles.
This was announced at a briefing by White House spokesperson Jen Psaki.
According to her, everything indicates that Russia will seek to surround and defeat Ukrainian forces in Donbas. In addition, air and missile strikes on the rest of the country will continue.
"As we seek to expedite the delivery of (weapons, - ed.) - we have allocated $1.7 billion, as you all know, we are working to provide the Ukrainians with the artillery systems that they have recently requested in negotiations between our governments. And we're working to provide them with artillery from U.S. stockpiles and to facilitate transfers from other allies and partners, as we did with the S-300," Psaki noted.
We shall remind you that earlier it was reported that the U.S. will announce an additional $750 million worth of weapons delivery to Ukraine.
