The issue of de-occupation of Crimea should be resolved in a diplomatic format, possibly in ten years, - Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stresses that the country will not make any territorial concessions to Russia's demands in this war, and already after the cease-fire the issue of de-occupation of Crimea will be solved diplomatically, even if for a long time.

Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with Fox News.

"We are not trading our territory. The issue of territorial integrity and sovereignty is not discussed. There are complicated issues regarding the temporarily occupied territories. There are fundamental difficulties that we are ready to remove from the agenda ... like the issue of Crimea," he said.

Zelensky noted that the authorities are ready to talk about the Crimean issue.

"The issue of de-occupation of Crimea should be resolved in a diplomatic format, perhaps in ten years... This issue should be resolved, for example, so - the end of the war, and then diplomatic steps," - said the president.

Earlier, an MP and member of the negotiating team, David Arahamiya, said that Russia orally agreed to Ukraine's peace proposals, while the Kremlin refused to negotiate the status of Crimea.
