As a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, 135 children were killed and 184 more were wounded. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

"135 children as of the morning of March 25, 2022 died in Ukraine due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. 184 children were injured. Children suffered the most in the Kyiv region - 64, Kharkov - 44, Donetsk - 46, Chernihiv - 34, Mykolaiv - 25, Zaporizhzhya - 26, the capital - 16, Zhitomir - 15, Kherson - 15 and Sumy - 14," - reported in the prosecutor's office.

As a result of fierce fighting among the city in Rubizhne, Luhansk region, two children were killed.

On March 24, 2022, two children aged 6 and 13 were wounded due to Russian military shelling of the village of Novomikhailovka, Maryinsky district, Donetsk region.

Also on March 24, 2022, in the village of Obilnoye, Melitopol district, Zaporizhzhia region, three teenagers, aged 13, 14 and 15, were blown up by a mine. They were hospitalized in Melitopol hospital. One of them is in intensive care in a serious condition.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, because of the daily bombing and shelling, 566 educational institutions were damaged, 73 of which were completely destroyed. More than 230 schools and 155 kindergartens were damaged and destroyed. The worst situation was in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions and the city of Kyiv. In addition, more than 40 institutions for children were hit by enemy fire, including hospitals, art schools, sports facilities, and libraries.
