Public and publicly guaranteed debt of Ukraine in November this year rose by almost 120 billion hryvnia, or $ 1.5 billion in U.S. dollar terms - up to almost 2.56 trillion UAH, or $ 94.15 billion in equivalent. This is reported by the UNN with reference to the data of the Ministry of Finance.

"As of November 30, 2021, the state and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine amounted to 2,558.52 billion UAH or $94.15 billion. USD. (...) During November 2021, the amount of state and state-guaranteed debt of Ukraine increased in UAH equivalent by 119.9 billion UAH and in dollar equivalent state and state-guaranteed debt increased by $1.52 billion. The Ministry of Finance said.

So, at the beginning of December, the public and publicly guaranteed foreign debt amounted to UAH 1,496.27 billion or $55.06 billion. Public and publicly guaranteed domestic debt amounted to 1,062.26 billion UAH or 39.09 billion dollars. THE STATE DEBT OF UKRAINE AMOUNTED TO 1,062.26 BILLION UAH OR $39.09 BILLION.

Ukraine's state and state-guaranteed debt at the end of 2020 was 2,551.94 billion UAH, or $90.26 billion, an increase of $5.9 billion, or 6.99%, in dollar terms over 2019. According to the Chamber of Accounts, the Budget 2020 received almost 639 billion UAH from government borrowing (37% of the financial resource of the state budget). This amount exceeded the cost of repayment of public debt by almost 66%, which led to its increase. In 2020, every Ukrainian paid 3 thousand hryvnias for servicing the state debt, the Accounting Chamber noted.

We note that the state budget for 2021 provides for more than 625bn hryvnyas for repayment of domestic and foreign debt and domestic debt service.

At the same time, according to the Accounting Chamber's calculations, every eighth hryvnya of income was used to service the state debt in the first half of 2021.
