On November 23, the state budget of Ukraine received about $400 million under the guarantee of the United Kingdom through the World Bank Trust Fund to cover social expenditures. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

The ministry noted that the funds raised are part of the fifth additional financing of the project "Support to Public Expenditures for Sustainable Public Administration in Ukraine" PEACE in Ukraine.

The funding will be used to partially compensate for the state budget expenditures made to reimburse pensions and salaries of healthcare workers under the medical guarantees program.

The loan is granted on favorable terms: the repayment period is 19 years with a 5-year grace period.

The total amount of financial assistance provided by the UK since February 2022 is USD 2 billion.
