Kyiv: At the meeting of the working groups of the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in the Donbas, Ukraine once again called on the Russian Federation to come to an agreement on the exchange of hostages.
This was stated by the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the TCG Irina Gerashchenko.
She noted that the Ukrainian representatives in the TCG and all groups stated that during the debates in the Security Council, Russia was called the aggressor and occupier and was blamed her for non-compliance with the Minsk agreements.
"Regarding the hostages. At the TCG, we repeated the demand - the immediate release of the sailors, prisoners of war without any preconditions," the report says.
It is noted that Ukraine once again conveyed to the Russian Federation a proposal to pick up 25 of its citizens and proposed various exemption formats: wide 25/25 (Russians for political prisoners of the Kremlin), and 19/72, as well as other options.
As previously reported, Lyudmyla Denisova, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, Parliament of Ukraine, discussed with the OSCE SMM coordinator in the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group Toni Frisch about the hostage exchange.
