“Police detained 90 alleged members of the Italian mafia, having conducted a series of coordinated raids in four European countries. The detention took place in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium," was said in a statement.
It is worth recalling that in 2016, European law enforcement officers began an investigation under the code name Pollino regarding the Italian criminal group 'Ndrangheta, which is accused of drug trafficking, money laundering, bribery, and violence.
As described in the message, the last raids were carried out in the framework of this particular investigation.
It should be noted that the operation was coordinated by Eurojust, a European agency established to combat trans-border organized crime.
