Spokane: One child was killed in a school in Spokane, Washington, and three others were injured, the Associated Press reported citing official data.
It is known that the shooter opened fire in the school building of the city of Spokane, killed one schoolboy and wounded three others before he was detained by the police.
"The shooter was detained and taken into custody," said Brian Schaeffer, spokesman for the Spokane fire department.
One of the students, 15-year-old Michael Harper, who was at school, told The Associated Press that the suspect was his classmate, who had long been obsessed with past shooting incidents in US schools.
According to Harper, the suspect at the beginning of the year began to talk at school that he could go to jail, or commit a murder that caused fear among other students.
The shooter had many friends, his peers did not pursue him, everyone considered him "pleasant, funny and strange."
The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
