On the night of May 30, Russian troops launched a missile and air strike against military facilities and critical infrastructure in Ukraine. This was reported on Telegram by the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk.
According to him, the Russians fired eight S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles at Kharkiv region, 11 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles from Tu-95 TK strategic aircraft (launch area - Saratov region of the Russian Federation) and 32 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs from Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia) and Cape Chauda (Crimea).
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian defense forces.
“As a result of the air battle, seven X-101/X-555 cruise missiles and 32 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs were shot down in Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Kherson, Kyiv and Vinnytsia regions. I thank all air defense units for their combat work!” Oleshchuk said.
