GUR: There is no offensive on Kharkiv, it is a border operation

A representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, said during a telethon that the attacks of Russian troops in the north of Kharkiv region are not an offensive on the regional center.

“Now we are witnessing a border operation, and what is happening is not an attack on Kharkiv,” Yusov said during the telethon.

Yusov claims that the Russians did not achieve their goals in the Kharkiv direction.

“But we can state that what they planned (during the offensive on Kharkiv region - ed.) was not achieved, not even close. Thanks to the actions of the Ukrainian security and defense forces,” the military said.

The GUR representative also answered the question whether Russia plans to attack Sumy region again.

“If there are reasons for concern, it will be officially reported. The situation there is well known, as are the enemy's plans and resources,” he added.
