In a speech on CBS, Ukraine's Ambassador to the USA Oksana Markarova said that the country really needs to increase the supply of military equipment and asks for its speedy delivery. This was reported by Politico.


Markarova emphasized the need for “speed” in this matter, stressing that when it comes to Russia, the concept of “fast enough” simply does not exist, and losses must be compensated as soon as possible.


The ambassador, who recently returned from Ukraine, expressed her wish for more air defense systems for the country to counter the escalation of the conflict on Ukrainian territories.


Markarova also expressed gratitude for the US assistance in this regard, but emphasized that more determination and speed in the supply of weapons is needed so that they can be used immediately when needed.


The diplomat said that Ukraine insists on the possibility of using American weapons to strike targets in Russia. She emphasized that Ukraine is fighting a defensive war and is trying to protect its territory from any threats.
