During a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron, Chinese leader Xi Jinping expressed support for holding an international peace conference with Russia and Ukraine on equal terms.


He emphasized that China considers itself an important participant in ensuring peace in Ukraine.


Xi Jinping called on all parties to resume dialogue and cooperation to build mutual trust and supported the holding of an international conference recognized by both Russia and Ukraine.


He also emphasized the need for a balanced and effective security architecture in Europe.
