European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has called on Chinese President Xi Jinping to use his influence on Russia regarding its nuclear ambitions. This was reported by Tagesschau.


She noted that Xi had already played an important role in reducing Russia's nuclear threats and expressed confidence that he will continue this initiative.


Von der Leyen also emphasized the importance of China's efforts to “prevent the supply of dual-use goods to Russia that end up on the battlefield,” pointing out the importance of this for EU-China relations.
