Clarification on “F-16 after Easter” in the Air Force of AFU: expectations and plans

According to a statement made by Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Illia Yevlash during a telethon, the transfer of F-16s to Ukraine will be officially announced only after their delivery to the country.

Although a possible June deadline is being publicly discussed, the exact date remains confidential until the arrival.

Yevlash calls on Ukrainians to be patient, emphasizing that the replenishment of the fleet does not mean immediate use in hostilities.

The military is preparing the infrastructure to receive and maintain the aircraft, as well as studying the operational environment to effectively use the new assets.

“In addition, our infrastructure is still being prepared to receive these aircraft and put them on proper maintenance. And of course, there are a number of different related activities that need to be done to ensure that these aircraft can effectively perform their tasks,” the Air Force spokesman added.

Earlier we reported that the first F-16s will arrive in Ukraine after Easter. Illia Yevlash, a spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this during a telethon.
