During a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed that Germany's position on the transfer of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine remains unchanged.
He noted that Germany will continue to supply multiple launch rocket systems to Ukraine, as this is its commitment. However, he confirmed that the decision to deliver Taurus missiles remains clear.
The chancellor also emphasized that Germany remains committed to Ukraine and supports it in the defense sector, including by providing three batteries of Patriot systems, which is considered an immediate need.
Scholz expressed hope that other countries will also provide Ukraine with Patriot systems to strengthen its air defense, despite their own security requirements.
