Turkey has expressed support for Iran in its conflict with Israel. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused Israel of trying to ignite a new regional crisis in the Middle East. This was reported by Sky News.
At a press conference, Erdogan said that Netanyahu and his government are fully responsible for the increased tension in the region.
"Israel is trying to provoke a regional conflict, and its attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus was the last straw," the Turkish president said.
Erdogan also criticized Western countries for condemning Iran's attack but ignoring Israel's strike on the Iranian consulate.
The Turkish leader expressed the opinion that as long as "cruelty and genocide" continue in the Gaza Strip, new regional conflicts will be possible.
