Explosions were heard in Kharkiv this afternoon, April 5, during an air raid alert. The city is under air strikes from the Russian invaders. This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
Explosions were heard in the regional center around 15:27.
The mayor's office confirmed the reports of explosions and urged Kharkiv residents to be careful.
"Occupants are striking! Kharkiv and Kharkiv district: stay in shelters!" the administration said.
Later, Terekhov clarified that, according to preliminary information, the Russian occupiers dropped guided bombs on the city. There is no information about the dead and wounded, as well as possible destruction.
"Kharkiv was previously attacked by KABs. The information about casualties and destruction is being clarified," the mayor wrote on his Telegram.
The RMA added that Russian troops had attacked the city of Kharkiv and a settlement in the Kharkiv district.
"Preliminary, they struck with KABs. Details are being established. At the moment, there is no information about the victims," the head of the administration said.
