Russia has accumulated "Zircons" in Crimea and now, when the alert is declared in the south, it can be declared in Kyiv region, - Humeniuk

If Russian troops use Zircon ballistic missiles from the south of Ukraine, an air alert is likely to be announced even in the northern regions of the country. This was stated on March 27 by the head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk, during a telethon.

"We understand that the enemy's priority is still the method of terrorist pressure. Experience has shown that the use of long-range missiles such as Zircon indicates that an air raid alert will obviously be announced as far as Kyiv region and the northern regions if ballistic missiles are used from the south. There is an understanding that the enemy has several dozen such missiles stored in a military hub like Crimea, and it can continue from time to time to conduct targeted terror with an emphasis, including on the capital," noted Humeniuk.

In her opinion, the fact that the Russians are using ballistics to strike the capital region "shows their desperation."

"This indicates that the enemy, driven to a certain degree of despair, is forced to use reserve means that will lead to a so-called "victory" in the rear - what they like to present in propaganda sources as "the defeat of decision-making centers," Humeniuk said.
