Russia is preparing an offensive that will be started in the near future, - Serhiy Haidai

Russian troops are accumulating resources and may soon launch a massive offensive in one of the directions. This was stated on March 25 during a telethon by the head of the Mukachevo District State Administration, Serhiy Haidai.

According to him, it is necessary to prepare for the "worst" - an attempt by the Russian Armed Forces to attack Sumy region. If the Russians find "weaknesses" there and see an opportunity to build on their success, they will "definitely go there."

"Unfortunately, the Russian reserves, both in personnel and equipment, exceed our capabilities by many, many times," Haidai said.

He noted that now it is no longer a laughing matter that Russia is decommissioning old Soviet equipment. The military realize that a tank is a tank, even if it is outdated.

"Defensive structures are being built now. If they manage to build them in this area, the Russians will still carry out some offensive actions, but not so massive," the head of the administration explained.

He refused to specify when exactly it is necessary to "be in time" but noted that he knows the exact date.

"But it's in the near future. It's not long now," Haidai said.

The official said that by this date, the heads of local administrations have to report on the completion of the work. Military engineers are present on the ground to adjust the construction of the structures.

At the same time, Haidai noted that Russian offensives are not actually stopping. The Russian Armed Forces are trying to advance, and hostilities are ongoing.

"They are now accumulating forces and means. I do not rule out that this terrorist attack in Crocus will be one of the motivations for increased mobilization in Russia. They continue to recruit troops to move forward," he added.
