Moldova's Foreign Ministry reacts to Transnistria's appeal to Russia for "protection"

Transnistria's appeal for "help" to Moscow is "another element of hybrid war" and an attempt to destabilize the situation in Moldova. Moldova continues to be a target for Russia. This was stated by Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi in the NewsMaker publication.

"Such statements have been made, are made and will probably be made again," he said.

He emphasized that Moldova remains a target for Russia, especially in the context of the upcoming presidential elections and the referendum on European integration.

Popșoi also noted that Moldovan state structures are becoming more and more resistant to hybrid attacks, and citizens are learning not to allow themselves to be manipulated.

Regarding diplomatic relations with Moscow, he expressed support for Ukraine, its territorial integrity and sovereignty, especially in connection with Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

Earlier, we reported that Transnistrian "deputies" will ask Russia for help today in connection with Moldova's actions.
