At the beginning of the day on February 7, Russian troops conducted several strikes on Ukrainian territory using various means: drones, cruise, ballistic, and anti-aircraft guided missiles.
Defense forces destroyed 44 out of 64 enemy targets. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi.
In total, the Russians used 64 means of air attack:
- 20 Shahed-136/131 type kamikaze drones (from Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea);
- 29 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles from 10 Tu-95MS strategic aviation aircraft (launched from Engels, Caspian Sea of the Russian Federation);
- 4 X-22 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 bombers (launch area - temporarily occupied Sevastopol and Russian Kursk);
- 3 Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles from carriers in the Black Sea (launch area - Novorossiysk);
- 3 "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles (launched from Cape Tarkhankut in the temporarily occupied Crimea, from the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation);
- 5 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles (launch area - Belgorod region of the Russian Federation).
The Air Force and Defense Forces destroyed 44 air targets:
- 26 out of 29 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles;
- 3 out of 3 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 15 out of 20 "Shaheds".
Anti-aircraft missile troops and fighter aircraft of the Air Force, units of mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces and electronic warfare were used to repel the Russian air attack, the Chief of the Armed Forces summarized.
