Foreign Ministry responds to Fico on territorial concessions to Russia: Deal is impossible

In response to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico's scandalous proposal for territorial concessions to Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has stated that a "territorial compromise" is out of the question. This was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko regarding the Slovak prime minister's latest statements.

"There can be no compromise on territorial integrity. Neither for Ukraine, nor for Slovakia, nor for any other country," said the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman.

He also added that Ukraine and its partners are making efforts to withdraw Russians from Crimea, Donbas and Luhansk to prevent their expansion into other regions, including the Slovakia.

"Let's be honest: without security in Ukraine, there will be no security in Slovakia or in Europe as a whole. We have to work together to bring the Ukrainian victory closer," the spokesperson for the Ukrainian ministry said.

As we reported earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that Ukraine "must give" Russia part of its territory to end the war, Politico reported.
