Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez have confirmed their participation in a peace summit scheduled for June 15-16, with the participation of Ukraine and Switzerland. The Latvian president and the Spanish prime minister posted this information on Twitter.

Rinkēvičs noted that he discussed participation in the summit during a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The parties also discussed defense cooperation.
Sánchez also confirmed his participation in the upcoming summit, adding that they continue to work to ensure a just and lasting peace based on international law.
