Ukraine has identified key principles: The West should not send its troops to help

Ukraine believes that its strategic goal in the war is to reach the 1991 borders. But Ukrainians are not asking the West to fight against Russia. This was stated by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba at a briefing at the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting.

Kuleba emphasized that Ukrainians do not intend to give up in the fight against Russian aggression. The strategic goal remains the full restoration of territorial integrity, i.e., returning to the 1991 borders.

According to the Minister, this is important for the security of the entire Euro-Atlantic area.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that Ukraine expects and counts on the approval by the Congress of funding aid from the USA.

"This is the best way to prevent the need to send Western troops to Ukraine. We have never asked for such participation and this is our principled position," Kuleba said.
