Pro-Ukrainian student was detained in Crimea because of Farion

Russians in the occupied Crimea detained a pro-Ukrainian student because of the actions of former People's Deputy Iryna Farion.

After the language scandal involving Farion, who criticized Russian-speaking soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the boy wrote a letter to Farion expressing support for her position.

"I can't even imagine how, during the liberation of my native Kerch, I will go out to Chkalov Street and meet Ukrainian soldiers who will speak Katsap. How will I know that they are ours, not Muscovites who are wearing Ukrainian military uniforms? Or in Simferopol (where I am currently studying in the 1st year of Ukrainian philology), I can't imagine how I will hear the language of occupation from our soldiers on Kyivska Street," the student wrote from his account and on his own behalf.

Farion published this screenshot without blacking out the Crimean's name.

A few days later, Russian telegram channels published a video showing the guy already in the "center for combating extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Simferopol".

"I am fully aware of my guilt. An intelligent conversation was held with me, and I completely renounce my views, because I understand that I was wrong, and it was completely wrong," the guy says in the video in Russian.
