North Korea's president emphasizes deepening relations with Russia

At the meeting, which discussed the results of Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia and his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, long-term plans for the development of bilateral relations between the two countries were presented.


Kim Jong-un emphasized the importance of "strengthening close contacts and cooperation between the relevant sectors of the two countries to expand and develop cooperation in all fields." He also called for active measures to deepen relations and achieve new high levels of cooperation.


In particular, the meeting discussed "a number of ways to practically and comprehensively apply the successes" allegedly achieved by the president "through his foreign activities."


Kim Song-nam, director of the committee's department, also emphasized that Kim Jong-un's visit to Russia raised relations between North Korea and Russia to "a new strategic level, meeting the challenges of a new era and bringing radical changes to the global geopolitical situation."
