Chinese leader Xi Jinping is preparing to visit Moscow for a summit with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in the coming months.
This is reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Sources said the meeting between Xi Jinping and Putin would be part of the push for multi-party peace talks and would allow China to reiterate its calls not to use nuclear weapons.
According to interlocutors of the publication, preparations for the visit are at an early stage and the time of its implementation has not yet been determined. Xi Jinping may visit the Russian Federation in April or early May, when the Kremlin will celebrate the victory in the Second World War over Germany.
Wang Yi, the Chinese leader's chief adviser, is expected to discuss Xi Jinping's trip during his visit to Moscow.
It will be recalled that the adviser to the Chinese leader Wang Yi announced China's peace plan for Ukraine at the Munich Security Conference, but did not reveal the details.
In addition, the Chinese leader will deliver a "peace speech" on the anniversary of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.
