The occupiers did not retreat from Kherson. This is an information attack with attempts to lure Ukrainian troops from other directions. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy emphasized this in an interview.
"I don't see them escaping from Kherson. This is an information attack. This is such an attack for us to go there to transfer troops from other dangerous directions. This was their information operation, they are not ready to leave Kherson. But they know, that if we succeed, they won't be able to leave," Zelenskiy said.
Answering the question whether this means that Russian troops are surrounded, the President of Ukraine noted that the enemy knows about this problem.
"Their most trained soldiers are at their places. No one left. We see it and we don't believe them," the head of state added.
