On Tuesday, September 27, three new Chinese satellites were launched into space by the Changzheng-6 launch vehicle. This is reported by Xinhua.
The Shiyan-16A, Shiyan-16B, and Shiyan-17 satellites were launched at 07:50 Beijing time from the Taiyuan Spaceport in northern China's Shanxi Province. The space vehicles were successfully launched into the given orbit.
As noted, translated from Chinese, "shiyan" means "experiment". This group of satellites will be used for geological surveys, urban planning, as well as for the prevention of natural disasters and the elimination of their consequences.
This flight was the 440th for the Changzheng series launch vehicles.
