The Russian company Gazprom believes that gas prices in Europe may increase more than two times this winter.
Gazprom announced about this in Telegram.
"Gas prices on European spot exchanges hit the mark of 2,500 dollars per thousand cubic meters. According to conservative estimates, if the trend persists, prices will exceed 4 thousand dollars per thousand cubic meters in the future," the company said.
At the same time, according to Gazprom, the European underground storage facilities are filled with 48.6 billion cubic meters. It is confirmed that another 23.8 billion cubic meters must be pumped to reach the filling level at the beginning of the 2019/2020 withdrawal season.
We would like to point out that earlier it became known that Gazprom refused to accept the gas turbine, which is necessary for the more powerful work of the Nord Stream, due to the sanctions.
